Fretboard explorer

See any scale, chord or arpeggio on the neck and hear it.

How to use the fretboard explorer

  1. Choose a key and a scale (or a chord to see its arpeggio). Red dots are the root notes — your “home base”.
  2. Switch labels to “Intervals” to see the function of each note (1, ♭3, 5…). This is how pros think about the neck.
  3. Click any dot or fret to hear it, or press “Play scale”.
  4. Try alternate tunings to see how shapes move in Drop D or DADGAD.
